[0:00] All right. So, we're here today with the [0:01] Clinger and Davis families together [0:04] doing a day of service to celebrate [0:06] Martin Luther King Jr. We've talked [0:08] about his legacy in terms of civil [0:10] rights as well as service that is [0:13] centered in love and care for our [0:15] neighbors. So, today we're together with [0:17] large groups of numbers of families [0:19] here. We're joined by Scout Troop 172G [0:22] presenting our nation's colors. And now [0:25] we're together here preparing bags [0:27] filled with toiletries for our [0:29] Centennial Farmers Market we run every [0:31] other month. We're putting together chew [0:33] toys for dogs for local shelter and [0:36] building gnomes for for families that [0:38] need just a little pickme up. So glad to [0:41] be here and so glad that all these [0:42] families are here joining us on this day [0:44] of service. [0:45] >> The MLK Day of Service here in [0:47] Centennial has been a great tradition [0:48] the last several years. Uh this year [0:50] Davis was really excited to be able to [0:52] bring in hygiene items and we've raised [0:55] hundreds of items that that were brought [0:57] in by our community. We're really [0:58] thankful for that. We want to thank Mr. [1:00] Hayes and Clinger for organizing uh such [1:03] a great day of service and teaching our [1:04] kids even more about how to treat one [1:06] another uh in the um the ways that Dr. [1:09] King would have wanted us to. [1:11] >> Hi everyone. We're here at Clinger [1:13] Middle School on Martin Luther King Day [1:15] and doing a service project with our [1:18] community, with our students and some [1:20] administration. Want to a shout out to [1:22] Mr. Hayes and the staff here at Clinger [1:25] for hosting us. And it's just great to [1:27] see so many students out and helping to [1:30] prepare things for our community. [1:31] There's a food drive, there's a backpack [1:33] uh filling giveaway, and there's some [1:35] things for nursing homes in the [1:36] community. And so just so many ways to [1:38] bless our community in service and to [1:40] see this many people out and using their [1:43] time and their talent and their [1:44] compassion to bless other people is [1:46] really wonderful. So thank you to [1:47] everyone who is able to join here at [1:50] Clinger for this day of service. We [1:51] really appreciate it.
