First period, a lot of [0:10] missed shots, a lot of saves. A [0:12] defensive tussle that uh finished [0:17] 000 at our first intermission. Some good [0:20] saves by Ka Wland. Stopped 11 shots in [0:23] that first period, including a flurry [0:25] right there. Second period action [0:27] though. Mia Such breaks the deadlock [0:30] with a short-handed goal [0:33] and Centennial Spring Lake Park took a [0:36] couple penalties then they just poured [0:38] it on. 21 shots in that period. [0:43] Very physical game as you saw there but [0:46] ultimately Such would get her second [0:48] special teams goal of the period. [0:50] Tipping in the shot from Bucha on the [0:52] power play. Then in the third period, [0:55] Grace Logger made it three nothing CSLP. [0:59] Andover would get one back, but [1:02] ultimately a defensive effort was more [1:04] than enough for the Cougars here tonight [1:08] to win their eighth straight and 19th of [1:10] the season, 3-1 over And [1:14] often that you're outshot 11 to six in a [1:17] period. Kind of a slow start. What was [1:19] the message in the locker room at the [1:20] first intermission that that kind of [1:22] jump started you guys in the second [1:23] period? [1:23] >> Yeah, I think we all just realized that [1:25] that wasn't our best play. That wasn't [1:27] who we are and that's not who we're [1:28] trying to be. And so I think just [1:30] overall we just knew that we needed to [1:31] pick it up. We knew that we needed more [1:33] shots and we knew that we needed to [1:34] score and start to shut down their team. [1:37] >> Um I think our defensive effort super [1:39] strong. I mean obviously we're very [1:41] offensive team. We score a ton but I [1:43] think for sure we get overlooked but I [1:45] think it's um a very like core to our [1:47] team.
