[0:00] Centennial Sports Arena, the site of the [0:03] Blaine Bengals and Centennial Cougars as [0:05] they met in a boys hockey cat clash. [0:08] First period, it was all Blaine. Blaine [0:10] got a nice jump and only the goalending [0:13] of junior Flynn Sandberg kept it a [0:16] scoreless match until it wasn't. Good [0:18] job by Grady Bouch to turn a turnover [0:21] into a goal. One- nothing Blaine after [0:24] one period of play. Second period now. [0:26] Centennial outshot Blaine 10 to7. Each [0:29] goalie made some fantastic saves [0:32] including a couple breakaway [0:33] opportunities for Blaine. Ultimately, it [0:37] was a fantastic individual effort by [0:39] Kaden Johnson that had us tied at one [0:41] after two periods. Third period, a [0:44] little more action. Blaine got it going [0:46] early. A minute 13 in. Adam Pter gave [0:49] him a 2-1 lead. Then on the power play, [0:52] Tanner Ferdick converts to make it 3-1. [0:56] Centennial thought they had tied it late [0:58] with Isaac Adams. It sure looked like [1:01] that. Hit the back of the net, but the [1:03] officials missed it and Wade did not [1:06] award a goal. Tempers flare as the game [1:09] ends. An emotional win for Blaine. They [1:12] reach 10 on the season with a 3-2 [1:14] victory over the Cougars. [1:19] >> Well, yeah, we knew Centennial had [1:20] nothing on us and we were a lot bigger [1:22] team and we knew we could dominate them [1:24] 200 feet. We're buddies with a good [1:26] amount of guys over there. So, when you [1:28] get to play against them, it it's always [1:30] a little bit more important and there's [1:31] uh a little bit more to play for.
