wasn't there the other night I was laid flat I've had something for a couple days now I've been fighting gotcha oh I'm sorry all good I'm coming around finally it's been the the worst part of it been I've had like a headache for the past two or three days I haven't been able to shake and that's been killing me yeah I'm trying to bring up the stinking slide deck here on my phone so I can talk about it but uh are you guys able to see the slide deck no I can't see a slide deck okay I'm on the phone so gotcha I yeah I joined by phone so I'm not going to see anything I'm on the laptop so if it pops up I'll let you know gotcha I'm not it's not letting me bring it my laptop is not all here we go see if I can share a screen see this thing so I I'll walk you through it as we go okay um so first off we uh obviously have to have someone call to order the uh operations meeting for today on Tony yeah okay Tony you can do it let's call it to order officially I second all right all right so and then we must there we go now it's cooperating with me approval of the agenda did you guys have a chance to look at the agenda for today before the meeting I did yeah it look okay to me I don't know if you saw Mar else I I I I did maybe maybe a couple days ago did you send it a couple days ago yeah it was live nothing's been changed uh the agenda is basically uh I'm going to tell you what our upcoming capital projects are um what things I'd like to take to the board the normal things nothing nothing that out of the ordinary yeah we're good awesome so work has been getting been completed lately obviously is uh multiple events of snow and ice removal the teams have been uh spending days and days and hours in the middle of the morning sometimes going out at 3: sometimes not coming in till 3:00 3:30 um it was uh they've done a great job I mean as you know we had a little bit of uh complication with drifting and people driving on uh William tenet's areas you know when it and what we came down to the root cause of that because these teams have been the same ones that remove it from all other schools for years is that we're not used to Three Degree temperatures in Pennsylvania when it SS so it impacted and compacted the snow so badly that it had to be removed with the back ho by scraping it which also obviously helps Dam you know damages our parking lot so uh something we learned uh about that is uh we we've learned to maybe if it's going to be that cold that we need to block those driveways off uh prior to the snow events to prevent people from driving on them and maybe pre-treating them heavy heavily with salt Andor solution so uh something we learned that we just haven't dealt with in years around here would would it help if we I'm sorry would would it help if we brind the those areas beforehand yeah and that that's something we've talked about we just got to come up with a cost of a a tank and a you know we have the trucks to put them on obviously but how do they get Incorporated onto the truck and uh where do we store that solution you know for reloading the tank because it's the size of tank we're going to have is gonna we're going to need to reload it multiple times during one event so uh there's more you know it's kind of like to do it but if we only have a 2,000 gallons and it only does three of the schools then where do we get a refill if we don't have a storage day right right and the the drifting the drifting on Centennial Road has been since the beginning of time yes yeah that's not new we were we were just talking about this at the last parks and wreck meeting gym because they had that's why it's blocked off on Bristol Road right now because they're just shutting it down basically for the winner because otherwise it's going to destroy everything up there and they don't want to keep opening and closing the blockade up there so just for safety and not damaging property in the winter with snow coming in more there's yeah they had to shut it down yeah yeah huh so but uh other than that the replacement of the the approval you gave for the replacement of the HVAC control boards at McDonald and uh helping to address that districtwide issue with those control boards has started uh Seamans is in they send all the stuff our guys will prewire them and get them ready to go and then on like one of the one of the days where we have a half day or something they'll come in and uh swap them we'll swap them over immediately and they will program them so there's limited downtime so we've got a plan to address that and that should be happening within the next few weeks we should have those done so I thank I thank you for that because it makes uh life easier with our hbac system of course so and then besides that uh they were doing some repairs on clingers walk-in cooler it's its compressor and condenser went um that's back up and running and we're working on uh Clinger hot water supply to their dishwasher and just various other things but nothing major right now except for snow and ice okay and hopefully we're going to be done with that soon yes yes I hope I hear there's something coming next Thursday so so hopefully that that Fizzles out by next Thursday you know how that usually happens so capital projects I mean they're the same ones we've talked about and uh Mr bado I I like that you sent me that H picture of that uh pothole over at log because it just reinforces my argument about how bad our uh some of our Park Lot fill that with something we can if we get a couple days of like 40 degree weather where it's not wet my God can you just put some dirt in it or something because the only the only reason I found it is because I hit it really hard and I'm like what the heck yeah and the next time we plow that whatever was in there would come right back out um so yeah we're gonna address that with yeah I I figured you couldn't put anything that was going to stick but yeah I'm I was concerned about people tripping in it because there's tons of people that walk through there hopefully this week we have yeah hopefully this week we have a warm day or two where we can throw some just some you know cold patch they call it in there that has a little bit of binding binding agent in it and it'll stay for a few few months so right that's the big parking lot I have on the list which we should have stuff back probably next month or uh our FP is going to go out here next week and then we should have a bids back and be bringing that up operations next month to see what that price is to do that parking lot because it definitely needs done and thank you for following with Peter on that from the library too I did yeah as soon as I have some pricing and uh know what we're looking at I can let him know who we awarded the contract to so he can reach out and see if there's timing that they can just do the whole thing at the same time I would think would be the best because just that I know that that's come up in in the library board conversations knowing that they needed repairs over there and I said well we're looking at log already anyway I said join parking lot and because it is it's technically District property I didn't know how that worked in terms of like who should be having a say over when that gets done I just figured it was better to connect you guys and figure out yeah and once I have all that information I'll definitely reach out and we can discuss what's best who owns the entrance who owns the entrance off to Emma road I believe I think it's multiple I think the township owns a portion of it then it turns into it's all crazy Mary Al there's like a three-way split of who owns what part of that parking lot it's who was the third person it's Centennial it's uh uh the library or Township and who's the other one yeah I guess I think it's just that I think the Township library because because library has its own funding I think they're looking at it in terms of like is this something that Township would figure out and repave or is it something we're gonna have to do and then you know so that was really so so are we going to do that part also um we are going to do our portion well it really depends on the price so there's multiple bids in there for different you know the worst sections and then I want one to incorporate the whole thing so we can pick and choose if it becomes too expensive we obviously need to do the worst areas first so so yeah and then when that comes back their parking lot Mary Alice so we I knowing we were going to do this IID wondered if it would be you know more cost effective for them if the project was done together even if they pay for that portion of it I wanted to make sure that they had an option to you know to get involved in the project from the beginning to save a little bit of money because students do use the library all the time too so I wanted to make sure it was something that considered how about how about the drive off of narst toown road to Log College is that that would be us is that part of it yep that would be us okay no no no are we planning on doing that yes that is in that'll be in the bid correct okay so I didn't I wish uh I was here prior to Clinger because not to do that little bitty section for a little bit more money in the front that is going to be need to be done in a few years would have been a good grab to just do the whole thing and have it on the same life cycle than to do it Part here part there and trying to manage it so uh my theory so you know is to try try and do the whole thing at one shot and be done so we know it's good for 25 years yeah some of that was probably on us too trying to make sure that we were you know the price was we could get through which part did we not do it Clinger the front parking lot drop off Loop and all the way to the back you know down the side there to the back par lot okay okay so and and I when when all the bids come through I'll explain my thoughts on it to you and you know ultimately it's your decision but I'll I'll give you what I think is the best option in my opinion and then you can and all the information and you guys can make a decision from there I think I remember at the time looking at that front Loop and that little you know that tiny lot at the front and the area being being a bigger section than it looks like comparatively to the teacher lot or the you know the lot out back so we kind of held back on it but yeah you're right I mean having everything done makes sense to get it then it it and the original the original sticker price that we had gotten for doing the entire job probably would you know it wouldn't allowed us to move forward on it so I think we looked at it in terms of what sections were the most pressing and then you know yeah ultimately it came back much lower than it did yeah yeah yeah so we could have probably done it but it was too late at that point so well that that and the I'm still moving forward with rfps on the FCS classrooms are doing a little bit of engineering work Barry IET is to figure out those two spaces Clinger and log and hopefully we'll have a rfps out and some bids in on those before summer so we can uh make a decision on those if we move forward also but that's the only two Capital with no bed making stations correct correct I'm only I'm only kidding so but that that's pretty much what I'm looking forward for capital projects at the moment okay and then the capital update in here the slides everything's what you saw at the meeting the other night nothing's really changed that uh Mr Greenwood went through so uh I'll pass through those so we don't have to spend a bunch of time on them um two things things that I want to take forward to the board for your uh approval here is the bids came back from the tennis court at William tenant we've got three bids we've got one bid from Nicholas construction 157 763 one more time we've got one bid the highest bid is 157 763 from Nicholas construction the second bid is top of Court which is 121 420 $121,400 and the third bid is from Keystone Sports construction um if you that's who I actually went out to and asked them to do us a favor last year and give me an idea what it would cost and they came right in on what it was that they said you know maybe $1,000 dollar more9 9,218 and that's to rip out all the cracks widen them and repair them correctly with the filler and membrane and then two epoxy coats over top of the tennis courts with new lines and you will not see the lines and they guarantee that for uh up to three years and can maintain any little bitty cracks that might come back after that for five or six years and at that point we can talk about Milling them down and resurfacing them the correct way and that that will cover the whole Ted is Court yep and it'll look like new 109,000 218 and what I look at here is I see the two bids 121 and 109 are from companies that do this on a consistent basis and I I looked at Nicholas construction and I couldn't see where they ever done this before and they were they were the highest one anyway and I don't think they totally you know it's outside what they normally do so it was their bid was obviously more okay okay so I'd like to take that forward for recommend Keystone Sports uh do that makes sense to me mar Alis you're gonna you're gonna take the lowest bid to to the board the one or not okay okay I'm good with that and I trust that company I've I've uh talked to him multiple times about this project so I fully understood it okay okay um the next is the NRG the power pay program that we already participate in and that's where what when it comes to say a really cold day or extremely hot day we they send out notifications and we maybe raise our temperatures in our buildings if we're cooling them by a degree or two we uh shut things off that don't need to be on and what that does is they guarantee a savings they actually pay us to do this if we each time we do it they pay us back to do it and the projected savings over the over the year um is summer estimated payments they would pay us back a projection of 18255 winter if we participate and this is based on what we've already done and have saved over the last you know in this program is just coming up for renewal 13675 for a total estimate of $3,930 we would get paid back to participate in these programs and honestly our uh we've been doing it and nobody's noticed that we might turn the temperature up two or three degrees for an hour or down um because the the the building doesn't you know get warm or hot over that time period of shutting it down and most of those periods are an hour or two is all they ask you to do it in the peak of the day okay and what and what is do does it cost us anything nope costs us nothing 31 Grand you said that's not yeah almost 32 Grand and we're we're currently doing it and they it's a good program cool okay so that that's the only two things I have to take forward to the board okay seem good to me Mr yes have we come up have we have we made any progress with Warminster on the ticket program yep so Kevin Burns and I had a meeting a couple weeks ago they between Kevin the school district the police departments and the townships they have to rewrite our agreement a memor you know memorandum of agreement on one second hold on one second my friends my friends are not participating okay go ahead so we have to rewrite our agreement our memorandum of agreement with the townships to include that so that's going to take a little bit of time but they are all on board with uh agreeing to participate in this program so we're moving forward okay so how much is a little bit of time I'm thinking it's still going to be a couple months really because it's gonna have the memorandum of agreement of memorandum is going to come have to come agreed by uh the police station us so there's there's multiple people that have to agree on this so we'll ultimately bring it in front of the board for your approval because just just watching this week oh I know um on excuse me I said I know it's awful listen on on um uh I think it's called it's belir I think is it belir belir a little a whole bunch of kids are at that bus stop and I watched I watched two cars think they were smart guys and went right through the Reds and there's like 20 kids that get off at that bus stop yeah it and that's like a little that's right off Victoria and I just thought I mean you could see the bus driver's mouth wide open like oh yeah they had to be screaming at the person without them hearing um we just can't we just can't risk uh and I'm sure you saw the kid in Chester who's now paralyzed yeah because of and that was a septopus the kid got off but the person drugged that poor boy's body yeah I saw that last night and they Cann not find the driver and I'm going to tell you Chester Chester is not very aggressive in finding hit andun drivers because they only have one police officer that handles that that section of whatever it is yeah we just can't we just can't risk it and I mean as a mom as a mom of a kid who got run over like I just cannot and I think the quicker we can get that done the better it it is for everybody yeah I'm glad they're at least moving head on it and not dragging their feet anymore but yeah I agree and it's great that they all agree that they want to move forward with it well I think you know if we said it and I don't know if that had anything to do with it but two townships were all in and we said in public warer was not all in yeah and I and I understand it's like a lot it's a lot of work by an officer to do that but it benefits all of us oh yeah for the public safety part of it alone it's and did the chief the chief's benefit when I when I talked to him in the room he was fully on board and understand stood our concerns and he was he you know he uh he had talked to other uh police departments that are now doing it and understands that it doesn't take as much time as he initially thought right right so he it's a little more of him educating himself too and and wanting to move forward so he's fully on board now that's good and I and I absolutely appreciate that they're that they're on board um yeah I don't you know I understand it takes people's time it takes a lot of effort I understand that but I do appreciate that they are on board yeah good progress well if you have no further questions unless you do um we can uh get a done and the sad part is you're not gonna be able to get home no exactly you're gonna be there once you're there you're stuck I'll be enjoying it from the comfort of of my couch me too all right you
