--- ## author: Jenny Feeken date: D:20260810220500Z --- ## Maintenance & Transportation The two new vans arrived this week, and our 2012 school van is being sold today on AuctionTime. The new school bus has also arrived, and we will discuss plans for the 2017 school bus moving forward. All vans and buses have passed inspection and are ready for the school year. One item for board consideration is whether to install cameras on our route buses; the new bus already comes equipped with them. The maintenance crew did an outstanding job this summer completing their checklist and ensuring the school and campus are ready for the start of the year. Both the interior and exterior look fantastic. A few remaining items will be wrapped up over the next few weeks as school begins, which Adam will handle during the day. ## Budget The district's new valuation will be released on August 20. Once that figure is available, we will proceed directly into the budget retreat. I will provide further updates as more information becomes available. ## Looking Ahead I am excited to welcome our new and returning staff and students for a great school year, and I look forward to seeing our students participate in all of their upcoming activities. I am particularly excited about offering all-day pre-K this year as we continue providing high-quality education to our youngest learners starting their educational journey. Several safety enhancements were also completed over the summer to ensure our campus remains as safe as possible for everyone.
