We have state statutes that require us through the Land Planning Act to do forecasting 10, 20, 30 years.
Not in my backyard. I don't want this in my region. But when everybody continues to have that mindset... you tend to have those pockets of either affordable housing or transit specific to certain geographical areas.
It is not just a congestion issue. It is a safety issue. And in order for to us to resolve that, we have to look at methods and means of making our highways and freeways safer.
