[0:02] Spring Lake Park hosting Centennial, the
[0:05] Northwest Suburban Conference matchup
[0:07] coming up on Wednesday night. These two
[0:09] teams split the season series last year.
[0:12] The stars were showing out early.
[0:14] Tristan Hansen for Centennial, Nolan
[0:17] Myron for Spring Lake Park. Two seniors
[0:19] and respective leading scorers were
[0:21] getting things going. Both the Clips
[0:23] double figures before the first half was
[0:26] up. No Aaron Shepson with a big block.
[0:29] He had two on the day and Zack Espinosa
[0:32] provided some complimentary scoring for
[0:34] the Cougars inside and outside and he
[0:37] had 10 before the break. Nolan Myin
[0:40] helping the Panthers to one of their
[0:42] several easy transition buckets that
[0:44] they had in the first half. Myin led all
[0:47] scores with 13 before the break, but the
[0:50] Cougars led by five.
[0:53] A little steal by Nolan Roach as he took
[0:56] it to the 10 here. Nolan Roast was a
[0:58] standout as the second leading scorer
[1:00] for Spring Lake Park in this one.
[1:02] Wilkinson found Myron. Aaron Jeepson and
[1:05] a silky pass from Myin. And then Myin
[1:08] showing off the range from the
[1:10] volleyball 10foot line. Knocked down a
[1:13] triple. These teams got out to a cold
[1:14] shooting start, but started to knock
[1:16] down some threes. Fast and flying. Eli
[1:20] and Hansen adding some trifectas for the
[1:22] Cougars. Nolan Roach would hit a crucial
[1:26] three down the stretch to put Spring
[1:28] Lake Park up by five. Although these
[1:30] teams struggled from the foul line, the
[1:32] Panthers did enough to close the game on
[1:34] a 10 and four run.
[1:36] >> I mean, yeah, when Myron, your best
[1:37] player, goes down, I mean, then it just
[1:39] becomes kind of team effort and
[1:40] everybody's got to chip in. I mean,
[1:42] first half was not clean, but second
[1:43] half we really lock down defensively and
[1:45] start rebounding the ball.
