Our Mission: To work together to responsibly grow our community, and to provide quality, cost- effective, and efficient government services 2. 1. ## CC Work Session ## Meeting Date: 08/25/2026 ## Primary Strategic Plan Initiative: Identify and implement operational efficiencies, cost savings and additional funding sources. ## Information ## Title: ## Continued Review of Preliminary 2027 General Fund Budget/Levy ## Purpose/Background: Continued review of the proposed 2027 General Fund Budget and respective tax levies.  The numbers presented reflect a 6.13% levy increase (consensus of council majority at worksession of July 28, 2026). One further item that needs to be discussed that could have an impact on the levy is the funding of the water usage for the new splash pad.  At current estimations, the pad is using approximately 1M gallons of water per week.  A full 2027 season of 17 weeks would amount to 17 million gallons.  If the city billed this at current water utility rates, it would cost an estimated $95,000.
