Did you know that sometimes even superheroes need heroes? This winter, Ramsay's firefighters are asking you to be the hero they need. When it comes to fighting a fire, seconds count. Critical time is lost accessing fire hydrants after a heavy snowfall. If we get to a scene [music] and we need that fire hydrant, um, we'd waste 3 to 5 minutes shelving off fire hydrant, which people might be aware that what happens if that time is [music] delayed, your fire can double in size. >> Ramsay's fire department is asking everyone to be a fire hydrant hero and clear snow around fire hydrants closest to you. There are over,200 fire hydrants in the city and every [music] single one needs to be easily accessible. If you do the math, that would equate to every firefighter in the city of Ramsey would have to shovel out 24 hydrants [music] themselves. Now is the best time of the year to be shoveling out your hydrants to start cuz it's a lot easier to maintain it now than it would be in January, [music] February when they're completely buried. >> Take those few extra minutes and clear a 3-FFT space around the hydrant [music] and path to the street. And you can be a fire hydrant hero. >> [music] [music]
