The committee of the whole management, we met on August 26 in this building. There were no public comments in person, nor did I receive any email, but uh anyone may email public comments at mandy.mmyisner anokaountmn.gov. So this was or today there is just an informational um item but as always I do like to share with the public theformational item and we had a nice presentation in regards to the annual performance review process. A few highlights around those um essentially human resources have been working really hard to modernize and standard standardize uh the systems as well as the process. Uh 100% of the reviews were completed last year. I do want to make note like that is actually a huge task. So, thank you to staff for doing that and for the all the infrastructure in place and the new cycle starts for October or excuse me in October of 2025 for the um next round of annual reviews. And with that, that completes my report. >> All right. Thank you. Uh now we'll move to uh transportation and parks committee the whole got a couple items there. We'll begin with uh Commissioner Jeepson. I see she's got an item there under transportation. >> Yes, thank you. Uh yes, the transportation and parks committee uh met last week, Tuesday, September 2nd at 1 pm at the transportation division offices in Andover. Uh all commissioners were present and there was no public comment. Uh the one and only item on the consent agenda for transportation today is the recommendation of approval um for contract C0011514. This is a joint powers agreement with the city of Lino Lakes. Uh this GAPA describes the cost and maintenance responsibility for both the county and the city of Lionol Lakes along uh County Road J between Centerville Road and Otter Lake Road for major interchange improvements, enhanced pedestrian accommodations, and other improvements to address safety concerns and mobility issues for all users. Uh if you recall, this project is right on the border of um between Anoka County and Ramsey County and includes the cities of Lino Lakes and North Oaks and White Bear Township. Uh Lo Lake City Council has already approved their portion of the JPA and the JPA with Ramsey County was previously previously approved by this board in April of 2025. Uh the project is already well underway and will continue through construction season of 2026 uh with Ramsey County taking the lead on construction. Uh first one is um approval of resolution number 2025 TR35. It's a resolution accepting a testimeamentary gift in trust for Anoka County uh for the Rapids Dam Regional Park. Um we don't know what the amount is yet because uh there's some legal uh things that have to happen yet with the money that's left over. Then I believe we received 10% of um of this trust. Uh the grantor is uh Allen Grant and I'd like to thank for him for the donation and I'll move approval of that resolution. Oh, this is three different grants. We're getting a total of $1.9 million. And, um, let's see. A half million we're getting for the Lazy River. Um, $1.3 million for redevelopment um around the um, Bunker Hills Golf Course Parkway A, and then $80,000 for um, trail work throughout the county. Um, next item number three is consider recommending approval of contract number C10389A in the amount of $53,300 with uh TKDA for construction administration for the Lazy River Bridge uh replacement at Bucker Beach Water Park. Um we have uh Bunker Hills uh redevelopment which we just talked about the $1.3 million. It's a two-phase project. Uh it's going to be the south half of parkway a existing parking lots and southeast trail that goes to Blaine High School. Second phase is uh reconstruct the boardwalk over Bunker Lake. This begins this fall and will occur over the winter to save environmental impact. So it's on the ice and uh should be done by spring of 2026. Uh Rum River South Buckthornne cleared uh through a donation. Uh so this donation was given to us by a neighbor in the area in memory of a loved one and we're able to get uh you know some buckthorn cleared out and make uh the environment of the Rum River a little little bit better. Um storm damage cleanup and response. Uh this is a big storm actually in the southeast part of the county where I live. Uh it came through knocked over my flag pole on my dock actually. Um but yeah, it was a Monday uh July 28th about 5 weeks ago and it rolled through and it uh knocked down a lot of trees and um was a mess and um really got to hand it to parks and um everyone that was out cleaning up, they were out there by 9:00 the next morning uh which was a Tuesday and by Wednesday midday everything was clear. Uh amazing response. Uh Wargo Nature Center. Uh we've got a new program services manager. I'd like to welcome uh Trisha uh Worley, I believe is the uh correct pronunciation. I'd like to welcome her to our team as the new uh program services manager at Wargo Nature Center and she started August 11th. Um just update uh Bunker Beach and the campgrounds are now closed. Uh so you know it's uh we're past the official close of summer unfortunately and so we have to start wrapping things up. um eventful August at uh Shaman Golf Course. You know, besides the cleanup from the 28th uh of July storm, we've been very busy with a lot of different tournaments. Mountains Views uh hockey tournament, the Centennial Youth Hockey Tournament, the Moniker Open with the Common Man and Dan Cole from Kayan, and all all the leagues also had their championships. Uh uh the course uh has not looked better and uh stays busy out there. keeps getting better. So, that's myformational update from uh parks. Now, we'll move back to the agenda here. Uh Columbia Heights is having their Columbia Height Pride event this Saturday at 11:00 a.m. So I did just want to make that quick announcement and also reassure that uh that pavilion will be up and running.
