Full depth reclamation or FDR involves grinding up a road's existing asphalt and mixing it with the top part of the aggregate base to create a new base layer.

We use this construction technique when the existing pavement shows signs of significant deterioration and generally scores below a 60 on the overall condition index a zero to 100 point scale we use to rate a road's health.

Although this method is more expensive and extensive than the mill and overlay technique it avoids the more costly total reconstruction which involves various additional improvements.
