it is Thursday March 27th and this is the Chan checkin well you know that Minnesota joke that this state has two seasons winter and road construction season well it does seem like spring might be here and so I wanted to let you know that the 82nd Street project a Carver County project which will convert it from gravel to a paved road while improving bike and pedestrian accessibility is kicking off with a couple of road closures starting this Monday click the link in the description to learn more for those following the proposed avenda development located at the intersection of Highway 212 and Powers Boulevard Inland development Partners shared some new initial renderings at Monday city council meeting the proposed 412 unit apartment building shown here would be located on the avienda property and at Tuesday they also held an open house to solicit Community feedback so take a look at the renderings and let them know what you think the 05% local option sales tax that voters this past November supported to parti fund the future Chan Hassen Bluff Community Center goes into effect April 1st and exemptions include groceries prescription medications baby products clothing gas and motor vehicle purchases thanks for coming along on this week's walk and talk we will check in with your next week

[0:05] the Chan check-in Summer is almost here
[0:07] and good news for pickle ball players On
[0:09] Monday night the city council agreed to
[0:11] resurface the rec center cent's pickle
[0:13] ball courts The improvements mean that
[0:14] the courts will be closed for a few
[0:16] weeks this summer but the upgrades will
[0:18] keep the action going strong for years
[0:19] to come But before that happens this
[0:21] weekend don't forget that we have our
[0:23] fantastic Easter egg candy hunt taking
[0:25] place here at City Center Park And
[0:27] starting next Tuesday Earth Day the
[0:29] Nomadic No You know what Drew you should
[0:31] really do this one Eco and Quill are
[0:33] back for another adventure The Nomadic
[0:35] Gnome is a self-guided program that runs
[0:37] from Earth Day April 22nd to the summer
[0:40] solstice June 20 offering fun and
[0:42] educational outdoor
[0:45] adventures What speaking of Drew a great

[1:14] of road is going to be an area of focus
[1:16] for extra speed patrol this spring And
[1:18] really you should drive safely and pay
[1:20] attention on all Chanhassen roads cuz
[1:22] they won't always be able to give you a
