[music] It is Thursday, October 30th, and this is the Chan Check-in. And thank you to everybody who came out for our annual Halloween party over at the Chan Rec Center this past Saturday. It was a fantastic event filled with great smiles, great candy, and great costumes. At Monday's city council meeting, city council reviewed the proposed 2026 to 2030 capital improvement plan. They approved updates to accessory structure regulations, and they held a public hearing advancing the Market Boulevard reconstruction [music] project. Council also received updates on upcoming Highway 7 and Highway 41 improvements and recognized domestic violence awareness month [music] with remarks from the Southern Valley Alliance. And if you or anyone else you know is interested in becoming a Chanhassen firefighter, good news. The application to do just that is now live. Head to chanhassenm.gov/job [music] to take the first step in this exciting opportunity. And don't forget this Saturday is our public openhouse at our new city hall. Bring the kids, meet the staff, take a tour, have some [music] snacks. It's going to be a fantastic time and we can't wait to see you there. Hey, I'm walking here on this brand new sidewalk right outside of City Hall on West 78th Street. It's open. It's all part of the city's effort to make downtown Chanhassen more [music] walkable and welcoming. But it doesn't stop here. By the end of the week, the pedestrian path [music] from West 78th Street into Civic Campus will be open. And by the end of the week, the path connecting [music] the Chanassen Library to the senior center will be open as well. Walkability all around. [music] You can go to the library, the senior center, city hall, or you can just pretend like you're going to a big important business meeting like me. We'll check in with you next week.
