It is Thursday, September 4th, and this is the Chan Check-in. We're coming to you this week from outside the council chambers in our new city hall building, which opens up in just a few weeks. We can't wait to have you join us here for public conversation and civic engagement. Back here at the old building, city council will hold a special work session on September 4th, that's this afternoon, to take a look at revised design updates and cost estimates for the proposed Chanhassen Bluffs Community Center. This follows council's July 14th meeting where BKV, the project's architecture firm, presented an update that reflected higher costs and adjustments to the previously discussed programming elements. At that meeting, council asked the team to revisit the plan and return back with a revised plan that reflects council's commitment to residents and the promised amenities. We will make sure to keep you updated on this important community topic. Yeehaw. Well, howdy partners. It's time for a knee slapping time at the Chan Rec Center. September 13th from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Mosy on down for a pett and zoo, snacks, kids activities, and toet tapping tunes like hot Joe and the chicken dance. You'll get your feet stomping. Speaking of stomping, these stairs right here. And these stairs as well are coming down the week of September 22nd as part of phase two of the Civic Campus Project. You can trot on down to here, the sidewalk along Kerber Boulevard where you can have access to the Chanhassen Library. So don't miss it. September 13th for the Barnyard Boogie and the week of September 22nd for both of those stairs coming down. That's right. Bushels of fun and improved library access is coming your way in 2026.
