[0:00] [Music] [0:10] Happy summer everybody. It's been a [0:11] while since we've checked in with you, [0:13] but as you can tell from the building [0:14] behind me, we've made a lot of progress [0:16] on our new civic campus building. We [0:17] can't wait to welcome you into it later [0:19] this fall. First, we're going to give [0:21] you an update on phase two, which will [0:22] be completed summer of 2026. and then [0:25] we'll take you inside this building to [0:27] show you what's been done and what's [0:28] going to continue to be done over these [0:30] next few weeks and months. So, if you [0:31] walked around city hall lately, you [0:33] noticed that there's a lot of fencing, a [0:35] lot of routes that are no longer open to [0:37] the public. That's because phase two of [0:39] the Civic Campus project is slowly [0:41] getting underway. Um, tell us a little [0:43] bit about what's happening on this stage [0:44] of the project. [0:45] So, right now, we've mobilized the [0:47] fencing to the the uh north side of the [0:50] project. This is really going to start [0:51] to to kick off that pavilion building, [0:55] the stage structure, and really that [0:56] park aspect of this project with all of [0:58] the site work and sidewalks and [1:01] obviously the the fencing we we put up [1:03] to create a safe spot for everyone and [1:05] uh working towards that part of the [1:07] project, wrapping up city hall. [1:10] [Music] [1:28] So, I think the last time we were here [1:29] was about 2 months ago. Um, so what's [1:32] happened on the exterior of the building [1:33] since then? the exterior of the [1:35] building, the glass and glazing, the [1:36] storefront and curve walls have been [1:38] going in. Uh basically wrapping around [1:40] the building, hit heading around the uh [1:42] west side there. And then uh the [1:44] background here, you can see that [1:45] they're kind of pouring the the entrance [1:47] to the uh parking garage. Uh they just [1:50] poured the trench drain in. Uh it does [1:51] have snow melt in it, so it's been a [1:53] pretty big pretty big task so far to get [1:56] done this spring through this summer. [1:59] Couple of exterior highlights coming up [2:02] will be uh the solar panels and the [2:04] clock winds will be in August. The clock [2:07] will be at the end of this month. Uh [2:08] starting the 28th they'll be putting the [2:10] scaffolding up to put in the uh clock. [2:13] So uh as a community you'll see that [2:15] starting here at the end of this month. [2:17] So this side this side the brick is [2:19] brick and stone have all been washed. Uh [2:21] we still got a couple of metal panels we [2:23] got to put in and obviously some of the [2:25] entrances, but uh this side as far as [2:28] the finishes, they're pretty much [2:29] complete. So then you can see the glass [2:31] is starting to go in and and pretty much [2:33] wrapping up. They've got one last frame [2:34] to complete on the glass for the council [2:36] chambers and then it'll just be wrapping [2:39] the rest of the building with the metal [2:40] panels. [2:41] All right, we're inside now. What's [2:42] happened recently in here and what are [2:44] you guys going to be working on in the [2:46] coming weeks and months? So, what we've [2:48] gone through recently is we we've [2:50] started the finishes. Uh behind me, you [2:52] can see the ceiling grid is is gone in [2:55] the upper ceiling grid. We've been [2:56] putting in the specially slat one [2:58] ceiling. It's a wood grain kind of uh [3:00] ceiling ceiling grid or ceiling tile. Uh [3:03] startup has happened for all the [3:05] mechanical equipment. The feature stair [3:07] has gone in. We're putting the railings [3:09] on. Uh and then it's just the the rest [3:11] of the finishes. This is one of the [3:14] highlights of the building, our new [3:15] council chambers where members of the [3:17] public will come and obviously it's [3:18] where our city council meetings will be [3:20] held. What have you guys accomplished [3:22] here recently and what's left to do? So, [3:24] recently all the stone work has gone in. [3:26] Um the rough ends in the ceiling, all of [3:29] that has gone in and right now they're [3:31] working on putting all the track in for [3:33] the slat one ceilings. It's kind of like [3:35] a specialty ceiling that's going to [3:37] really make this place pop. Um, coming [3:40] up next, we'll get the dies put in, wood [3:42] paneling going along that wall. Um, all [3:44] of that will go in and basically work [3:47] our way out of this room. We're here in [3:49] the senior center, one of the new [3:50] buildings. Amazing highlights. We can't [3:52] wait to welcome our 55 plus community [3:54] here um in this space. What's still left [3:57] to do? What can we look forward to the [3:58] next month or so? Well, the fellas are [4:00] going to be working on the ceiling. Uh, [4:02] same thing as kind of that main area, [4:04] the slat one ceiling. It's a feature [4:06] finish. it it's going to look really [4:08] beautiful. Um the fireplace is all ready [4:11] to go. We've just got to put in a couple [4:13] more finishes there and and really it's [4:15] just going to be some returns and and [4:17] carpet. [4:32] Heat. Heat. [5:01] [Music]
