Speaking of the rec [0:17] center, please note that the dance [0:19] studio in the rec center gym will be [0:21] closed from July 31st to August 15th as [0:23] part of its annual resurfacing. At [0:25] Monday's city council meeting, council [0:27] members reviewed updated floor plans and [0:29] cost estimates for the future Chanhassen [0:31] Bluffs Community Center and directed the [0:33] design team to explore options that stay [0:35] within the plan budget while preserving [0:37] original programming. The council also [0:39] discussed future options for the east [0:41] side clock tower, expressing interest in [0:43] preserving the structure while [0:44] reimagining its non-functional clock [0:46] components. Finally, they voiced strong [0:48] support for a proposed pedestrian [0:50] underpass at Highway 41, directing staff [0:52] to move forward with a formal agreement [0:54] to include it in the larger Highway 5 [0:56] improvement project. [1:07] The Galpin Boulevard improvement project [1:09] continues to move along nicely. And here at 78th and [1:18] Powers, this intersection project is now [1:20] complete, bringing safer, smoother, and [1:22] more accessible travel to one of the [1:24] city's busiest areas.
