[0:03] It is Thursday, July 3rd, and this is
[0:05] the Chan Check-in. And by the time
[0:06] you're watching this video, this place
[0:08] behind me, City Center Park, will be
[0:10] rocking cuz it is our 4day July 4th
[0:13] celebration. So come visit us tonight,
[0:15] July 3rd, we've got the carnival, taste
[0:17] of Chanhassen, live music, a beer
[0:19] garden, and more. And tomorrow, Friday,
[0:22] July 4th, there's more fun at the
[0:23] carnival, including bingo, a classic car
[0:26] show, a parade at 2:30, and then
[0:28] fireworks at 10 p.m. over at Lake and
[0:31] Park. In other exciting news, we're now
[0:33] on TikTok and Next Door. Quick side
[0:36] note, none of our social media channels
[0:37] count as official public comments. So,
[0:39] if you want to do that, please email
[0:41] here.
[0:43] All right, I guess we'll wrap it up
[0:44] early this week cuz I just can't think
[0:46] of anything else we might have to tell
[0:47] you about. Pickle ball. Pickle. Pickle.
[0:53] Ah, I knew there was something we were
[0:54] forgetting. Drew, take it away. Patrick,
[0:57] I'm happy to report that the great
[0:59] national crisis, the great pickle ball
[1:01] panic of 2025 is finally over. The rec
[1:04] center courts are back. Resurfaced,
[1:06] restriped, reborn. Some say the Mona
[1:09] Lisa is the greatest work of art.
[1:11] Obviously, they haven't seen this paint
[1:13] job yet. Hear that bounce? That's not
[1:16] just physics. That's poetry in motion.
[1:18] To paraphrase Winston Churchill, never
[1:21] in the history of recreation have we
[1:22] owed so much to so few, our parks and
[1:25] recck department. Thanks for checking
[1:26] in. We'll dink again with you next week.
