It is Thursday, May 1st, and this is the Chan Check-in. And if you're watching, you're probably one of our favorite types of people, active and engaged residents, which means you'll probably love our new council summaries. What are they? Well, for instance, the city council meets this coming Monday. And if you can't attend or watch online, you can read these detailed rundowns on our website the very next day. On to council news. At the upcoming May 5th meeting, the council will continue discussing the potential construction of a second apartment building near the Santa Vera Drive and Chanhassen Elementary. They will also consider approvals for the Pioneer Ridge Town Home development proposed to be constructed near the intersection of Bluff Creek Drive and Pioneer Trail. Additionally, they will consider approving a purchase and gift agreement to acquire land for the future Chanhassen Bluffs Community Center. This is an important and exciting step in moving this project from planning to construction. We have some big events coming up and for that we now go live to our upcoming excitement correspondent Drew Zaramsky. Right you are Patrick. On Saturday, May 3rd, we not only have the free car seat clinic here at the Chanhassen Fire Station, but also an Arbor Day tree planting event at Roundhouse Park. On May 7, we have the open house for the 2025 pavement rehabilitation project. At that open house, we will also debut our brand new pavement management plan series, which takes you behind the scenes of how Chanhassin keeps its street safe, smooth, and well-maintained. Back to you. Thanks, Drew. That's it for now. We'll check in with you next week.
