At Monday's city council meeting, council adopted a new heritage tree ordinance, which is designed to protect Chanhasson's canopy while also supporting thoughtful growth. The ordinance encourages developers to preserve healthy [music] large trees whenever possible and requires replacement planting when removals are necessary. [music] Council members emphasize the importance of striking a balance between environmental stewardship and responsible development so the community can continue to grow while protecting the natural features that make Chanhassm unique. We have a quick [music] update for you on the Minowasha Apartments 44 unit project development here at 6440 Hazelton Boulevard. The developer has informed the city that they no longer plan to move forward with this project. It is likely that the site will be developed in the future, but there are no active development proposals at this time. That's it for now. We'll check in with you next week.
