It is Thursday, May 29th, and this is the Chan Check-in. Thank you to everyone who joined us Monday at Lake Anne Park for the Memorial Day ceremony. Nearly 500 people attended to honor those who gave their lives in service. This week, we're coming to you from outside the Chanhassen Library next to this statue because it is one of the top 10 most Instagram worthy spots in all of Chanhassen, according to us in the latest Chanhassen Connection magazine. Take a photo at any of the featured places and tag us to enter a raffle for a Chanhassen themed prize pack. No surprise at one of those Insta worthy places is Lake Anne, which is where on June 12th, kids can learn to fish with Chanhassen's local heroes at the Fishing with First Responders event. Sign up at the link in this video's description. June 3rd, join us here at city hall for the planning commission's public hearing on Avianda Apartments preliminary plat and site plan review. And finally this week, just a reminder that Carver County has begun work on the Highway 101 bridge that connects Chanhassen to Shakipi over the Minnesota River. Work will continue through early July and Highway 101 will be reduced to one lane in each direction during the project, so expect delays. All right, that's it for now. We'll check in with you next week.
