[music] It was a big moment at Monday's city council meeting when council approved the site plan for the future Chanhassen Community Center, marking a major milestone bringing this project from vision to [music] reality. Site plan approval establishes exactly how the building will fit on the property, including parking, [music] access, trails, landscaping, utilities, and safety requirements. This step confirms the project's layout has been fully reviewed and meets all planning, engineering, and operational standards, allowing work to advance into final design and construction preparation as the community center moves closer to becoming a reality. Mayor Ryan shared her excitement at the council meeting. >> You know, we hear a lot about it in the community. We talk about it. Um this is a big moment for Chanhassen and and it's exciting to see that um we are going to keep our fingers crossed for um for good bids and and come back [music] and and be in the ground yet this spring. >> Speaking of the Chanhassen Community Center, we have an awesome new video and some new renderings on this future center that will really help you visualize how the space will come to life. We have a number of open houses coming up that [music] you might want to check out. March 10th is our open house for the Great Plains Lake Drive East Rehab [music] Project. April 8th is our open house for the Market Boulevard improvement project. [music] And April 14th is our open house for the 2026 Street improvement project. Everybody knows and loves our senior center coordinator, Mary Blazin. >> But I'm retiring in a few months, so [music] we're looking for someone to pass the baton to. >> To apply, check out the link in our bio. We also have openings to work at our concession stand at Lake Anne Park this summer. We still have two open seats available on our environmental commission. No experience required. We'd love to have your participation in this important role. That's [music] it for now. We will check in with you next week.
