[0:03] Happy holidays, Chan Hass. And yes, even
[0:05] on Christmas Day today, the Chan
[0:07] check-in finds a way to sneak into your
[0:09] Christmas stocking. Our city's ice
[0:11] [music] rinks are open. We opened them
[0:12] last week. The city has five rinks,
[0:14] three of which have warming houses.
[0:16] [music] So, we hope that you'll get a
[0:18] chance to lace on the skates this
[0:19] holiday season or for the rest of the
[0:21] long [music] winter season that will
[0:22] soon follow. And although I know summer
[0:24] seems so far away, the reality is that
[0:27] our own [music] parks and wreck
[0:28] department is already getting ready for
[0:30] summer. In fact, picnic shelter
[0:31] reservations open up this January 2nd.
[0:34] So, if you already know that one summer
[0:36] weekend [music] that everybody can agree
[0:38] on is actually happening, head to our
[0:40] website to reserve your spot. [music] We
[0:41] have published our 2026 legislative
[0:44] priorities on our website, and we hope
[0:45] that you'll check those out. It's an
[0:47] annual document that we share with our
[0:48] local representatives [music] and which
[0:50] help guide the impact that state
[0:52] decisions have on local government. And
[0:54] just a heads up that even though Drew
[0:55] and I
[0:58] are clearly working today instead of
[1:00] spending [music] Christmas with our
[1:01] families, we are closed today, December
[1:03] 25th. We will also be closed tomorrow,
[1:05] December 26th. City offices close early
[1:08] [music] at 12:00 p.m. on New Year's Eve,
[1:09] and we are closed on New Year's Day. But
[1:12] in the new year, we hope that [music]
[1:13] we'll see you here at the Chanhassen Rec
[1:15] Center on January 7th from 4:00 to 6:30
[1:17] for our public open house of the
[1:19] Chanhassen Bluffs Community Center. Come
[1:21] by to learn more, ask questions, [music]
[1:23] and add your input to this important and
[1:25] exciting city project. Oh, and if you
[1:27] haven't taken our new 360° virtual tour,
[1:30] you should. It's very cool and
[1:32] informative. Click the link in this
[1:34] video's [music] description to be taken
[1:35] there. Happy holidays to you and yours,
[1:38] and thank you so [music] much for
[1:39] sticking with us through 2025. We can't
[1:41] believe that the Chanchchek is already
[1:43] celebrating its 1year anniversary.
[1:46] >> We would love to hear from you. What
[1:47] would you like to [music] see more of in
[1:48] the Chanekchen, maybe a little bit less
[1:50] of? Uh what are some topics that we
[1:52] haven't covered yet that would be
[1:53] interesting to you? [music]
[1:54] >> To that end, we put together an online
[1:55] survey, a link to which you can find in
[1:57] this video's description. We hope you
[1:59] fill it out, give us your feedback, and
[2:01] we cannot wait to run it back in 2026.
[2:04] >> That's it for [music] now. We will check
[2:05] in with you next week. Next year. Next
[2:08] year. Next year.
