Chanhassen launched its summer concert series Thursday evening at Lake Anne Park with a performance by Gen X Jukebox at 6:30 p.m.

The city is promoting its upcoming four-day July 4th celebration, which officials described as an extravaganza. Residents should check their mailboxes for a four-page printed mailer detailing all festivities planned for the holiday weekend.

Monday's city council meeting addressed several topics including overnight parking regulations, detached accessory dwelling units, and the Chanhassen Bluffs Community Center bond sale. The council also held a public hearing on Frontier Trail and discussed the Santa Vera development project.

City officials provided a road construction update during the meeting. Residents can find detailed information about these council topics in the summary section of the city's website.

The city continues its video series called "The Local," which highlights Chanhassen's business community. The next episode was being filmed during the community update, featuring a local business that maintains a Chaska mailing address but operates within Chanhassen city limits.
