Chanhassen Plans Fishing Event, Highway Construction Continues
The city of Chanhassen will host a Fishing with First Responders event June 12 at Lake Anne Park, according to a city update released Thursday.
The event will allow children to learn fishing skills from local emergency responders. Registration information is available through the city's website.
City officials also announced that nearly 500 people attended Monday's Memorial Day ceremony at Lake Anne Park to honor fallen service members.
The Chanhassen Planning Commission will hold a public hearing June 3 on the Avianda Apartments preliminary plat and site plan review at City Hall.
Carver County construction work on the Highway 101 bridge connecting Chanhassen to Shakopee over the Minnesota River will continue through early July. The project reduces Highway 101 to one lane in each direction, and officials warn drivers to expect delays during construction.
