Councilmember Hatfield inquired about item 7b, 'assignment of option with Foresight Real Estate,' seeking clarification that the sale of lots to the school district would not reduce the size of the planned community park. The Mayor confirmed this. Item 7d noted the departure of long-term Human Rights Commissioner Hana due to relocation.

A staff member explained that the Library Task Force, consisting of Council, commission, and at-large members, would provide input for the new library design. Councilmember Shevlin stressed the importance of community input from all residents, not just task force members. Mayor Howard thanked the numerous applicants, highlighting the community's dedication. Four members were selected: Samantha Ward, Bob Lincoln, Nick Rodriguez, and Sarah Brown.

I just had one really quick question on 7b, assignment of option with Foresight Real Estate. So, selling the lots the to the school district, that doesn't take away from any part of what will be the community park. It's lots not included. Okay, I just want to make sure it wasn't making the community park smaller.
The purpose of this task force will be to help provide input and guide some of the discussion that will come along with the new library design as we move forward with that.
And um And just so everybody is aware that if you did not make it on the taskforce, if you did not get your application in on time, or you just something comes randomly to your mind about the library, please reach out to me...because we do want to hear from all of you. And as leading the taskforce, I would really like to ensure that we're including as many community members input as we possibly can.
I also want to just give a sincere thanks to all the um citizens that stepped forward and saw the application open up and take the time and took the time to go ahead and apply. Uh and then also the ones that were asked to come back and interview. It was it's It's a great problem to have when we have too many people applying towards something and shows how much the community cares and how they want to help be a part of this and shape this um vital piece of uh in infrastructure in our community, right?
