Presentation by Jeff Wiler Automotive Group on Proposed Honda Dealership in Norwood
The Jeff Wiler Automotive Group outlined its plans to relocate its Springrove Avenue Honda dealership to a new, larger, and state-of-the-art facility in Norwood. The presentation covered the strategic importance of the location, the extensive site work required (including dealing with buried utilities, a former subway tunnel, and a 'swampy' area), and the multi-step regulatory process involving zoning changes and street vacation. Speakers emphasized the project's economic benefits, including increased employment and tax revenue, and detailed the company's commitment to environmental responsibility (e.g., waste recycling, LED lighting) and community engagement through automotive job training programs.

I mean if we were going to run a body shop or something like that where you've got, you know, paint and thinners and stuff like that, it's a little bit of a different story. But everything everything is all biodegradable stuff that's used today. Most of it's water-based. Um antifreeze and oils are all recycled.
Because you're between two major interstates, you're going to go very very accessible. That's it. This is one of the best places we would have any
So we are currently we well I shouldn't say we are we have developed uh for introductory technicians into the trade. Uh we just developed a curriculum that we are rolling out to all of the current vocational schools from Columbus to Louisville and in the Cincinnati market. It's uh it's all baseball themed.
