The arena is [0:14] one of the city's most frequently used [0:16] recreational facilities. Yearround it [0:19] hosts youth and adult hockey, figure [0:21] skating, tournaments, community events, [0:24] and more. This new partnership will [0:26] provide valuable ongoing support for the [0:28] facility, helping ensure it continues to [0:31] serve athletes and families for years to [0:33] come. The renaming of Hayes Arena will [0:36] be finalized following the design and [0:38] approval of a new facility name and logo [0:40] by the Apple Valley City Council. [0:44] Several large-scale park projects are [0:46] well underway. This includes the [0:48] construction of additional pickleball [0:50] courts adjacent to the tennis and [0:52] pickleball courts at East View High [0:54] School. Right next door in the Splash [0:56] Valley parking lot, work continues on [0:58] the new skate park. Over at Hayes Park, [1:01] the new ball fields are starting to take [1:03] shape along with other improvements [1:05] throughout the park. Kelly Park is [1:07] getting a total makeover, including a [1:09] new splash pad, playground, and [1:11] amphitheater. Construction continues at [1:14] Redwood Park to include a new pool and a [1:16] modern community building. Also included [1:19] are new courts and Apple Valley's first [1:21] ever inclusive playground designed to be [1:24] enjoyed by all ages and abilities. [1:27] Various other parks throughout the city [1:29] are currently under construction to [1:30] include new playgrounds, trails, and [1:33] other amenities.
