Season passes are now available for [0:19] both residents and non-residents, [0:21] offering unlimited access to open swim [0:23] sessions all season long. Come visit our [0:26] updated facilities, new water [0:28] attractions, and enhanced amenities. [0:32] Plus, join us on June 12th for a ribbon [0:34] cutting event at 4:45 p.m. to celebrate [0:37] the opening of the enhanced water park. [0:40] Refreshments will be provided along with [0:42] free entry to Open Swim between the [0:44] hours of 5 and 6:00 p.m. We hope to see [0:47] you there. [0:48] Did you know standing water and tires [0:51] can attract mosquitoes that spread [0:52] diseases like the West Nile virus? To [0:55] help reduce mosquito breeding grounds, [0:57] Dakota County will be hosting a tire [0:59] dropoff event on June 11th organized by [1:02] the Metropolitan Mosquito Control [1:04] District. Residents must call [1:07] 651-6459149 [1:11] to receive a time slot on June 11th [1:13] between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 [1:15] p.m. The exact dropoff location in [1:18] Dakota County will be provided to [1:20] participants after receiving a time [1:22] slot. There is a limit of 20 tires [1:25] maximum. No rims or oversized tires will [1:28] be accepted. More dates may be added [1:30] later this summer. [1:33] Do you live in a home built before 1990? [1:36] If so, you may qualify for a free lead [1:38] and copper water test. Homes built [1:40] during this time often have copper pipes [1:43] with lead solder. And we're looking for [1:45] volunteers to help us monitor water [1:47] safely. If eligible, you'll collect a [1:49] kitchen tap sample after the water [1:51] hasn't been used for 6 to 12 hours. You [1:54] can do it yourself or request help from [1:56] a technician. An accredited lab will [1:59] test your sample at no cost and you'll [2:01] receive the results.
