Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It's now 5:30 and I call this regular meeting of the Burnville City Council to order. Uh we will begin our meeting with a moment of silence followed by the pledge of allegiance and we invite you to join us. The schedule of regular meetings are Tuesday, September 16th at 5:30 p.m. and Tuesday, October 7th at 5:30 p.m. Our work sessions are Tuesday, September 9th at 5:30 p.m. and a budget work session, department budget presentations, proposed budget, and proposed 20 2026 fees and utility rates are Tuesday, September 9th at 6:30 p.m. Less noted, all meetings are here in our council chambers. Item number two are citizens comments. This is the opportunity for anyone that would like to address the council on an item that is not on the printed agenda agenda not coming before us on a future meeting. However, an item may be removed from the consent agenda for separate discussion and vote. And uh before we say good night, Dan, talk about the fire must just for a minute. >> Well, I can talk about the Burnsville. >> I'm old school on that one. >> Uh thank you, Mr. Acting Mayor. >> This Thursday, the annual Burnsville Festival in Fire Muster kicks off with the kickoff block party at Nicollet Commons Park. It's fall in Minnesota, so wear jeans and a jacket and you'll be fine. It's going to be a little chilly. Hopefully the uh the rain forecast moves on into the evening. Uh and then Friday, we move over to uh Civic Center Park right across the street from City Hall. Uh even with the construction, we will have a a very large stage. all the performances. We have Johnny Home returning on Friday night and Fleetwood Mask coming back after three years on Saturday night. Uh we will have a carnival. We'll have our kids zone. We'll have um our youth area skateboard contest. Uh youth music. Um we're going to have uh the K9 show on Saturday. There is all kinds of stuff going on. In fact, everything that you normally find at the Burnsville Festival will happen this year with one exception. We'll have a few less firet trucks because of the construction. There won't be enough fire trucks with any water spraying in the area uh for this year, but that is about it. We actually made up for that by adding a 1,000 drone drone show at 9:25 on Saturday night. This will be a record for drone shows in the Twin Cities. And we're very thankful to Aerial Illuminations for uh bringing that show to the festival. So that'll happen right before fireworks. So, kind of a double bonus on Saturday night with uh drone show and fireworks. So, we hope to see everybody out there. It's free to get in, so don't don't bring any money to get in. Just buy some food and beverages while you're there. And we'll see everybody on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. >> Perfect. Thank you, Council Member Keley. And with that, we stand adjourned.
