[0:04] I've always been really interested in
[0:06] healthcare um like ever since I was like
[0:09] really little. What really resonates
[0:11] with me for healthcare is that I've
[0:13] always loved taking care of people and
[0:16] helping people. While I was at Burns
[0:17] High School, I took healthcare core
[0:19] curriculum um certified nursing
[0:21] assistant and emergency medical
[0:23] responder. I started my internship here
[0:25] at Burnsville Family Physicians
[0:28] and um I started around here mid-March
[0:30] until the end of the school year and now
[0:32] I'm here full-time. My teacher actually
[0:35] brought it up and said, "Hey, do you
[0:37] guys do internships?" He's a certified
[0:39] nursing assistant. And so I came and I
[0:41] did an internship for them for 3 months
[0:45] um while getting high school credit for
[0:47] that. I feel really really grateful that
[0:50] Pers High School let me do this
[0:52] opportunity because um if they didn't I
[0:57] would have still been not doing what I
[1:00] love and that really solidified like my
[1:03] career choice and this is really what I
[1:06] want to do um with my life and without
[1:10] that experience I'd still be second
[1:11] guessing myself with what I would want
[1:13] to do in my future. My name is Ben Smith
[1:15] and I'm a member of the class of 2025
[1:18] from Bernzo High School.
