The City Administrator sought early approval for specific items from the preliminary 2027 budget. The goal was to secure orders ahead of the final budget adoption to mitigate long lead times, avoid anticipated cost increases, and ensure timely implementation for critical services, such as police vehicle replacement, new building permit software, and an IT server rotation.

Am I able to ask that we push this for two weeks out so we can get some of this answered and we don't have to do a vote or anything at this point because we're doing that follow-up meeting in two weeks. I think this group would agree that the ballards can be put to bed and not put into this project anywhere along the way.
Mindot, as as Bruce was stating, Mindot does not recommend them. Therefore, they would be at a city cost and they would be at a city maintenance. And so, the cost, if you add, it depends on what you do with spacing, think about $50,000 is what these ballards would be if you put them in front of the entirety.
If you're comfortable that these items will stay in from preliminary to final, can we get a jump on some of these?… It'd be nice to shorten up some of that wait time by ordering them here in October instead of waiting till January.
