[0:30] As you go farther back in recorded [0:32] history, science and the supernatural [0:35] have always been rivals. But once in a [0:38] while, they prove that they can work [0:41] together. [0:43] Such proved to be the case with this [0:45] fantastic situation Miss Rebecca Dayton [0:47] found herself in. Why don't we take a [0:50] listen? [0:51] >> I was charging my phone one morning and [0:53] I accidentally dropped a spice jar onto [0:55] the screen and it cracked. [0:57] >> Uh-oh. I went to get it fixed. Uh when I [1:00] got when I got it back, it looked brand [1:02] new. I returned to business as usual [1:04] with it. But then I received a text [1:07] message from a number that I didn't [1:08] recognize. [1:09] >> Oh, [1:10] >> I thought I they thought I was someone [1:12] named Clara, but I corrected them and [1:14] they apologized. A few minutes later, [1:17] they texted me again, this time asking [1:19] for help. She said her name was [1:21] Charlotte and she sent a picture. She [1:24] was an older gal, mid to late7s. [1:27] I asked if she was trying to sell [1:29] something because you know how scammers [1:31] are, but she explained herself and [1:33] revealed something very surprising to [1:36] me. She died a month ago. [1:39] >> Oh wow. [1:41] >> Before I could block her, she text back [1:43] to ask that I don't like like she was in [1:45] the room with me or something. She sent [1:47] links to her GoFundMe and Caringbridge [1:50] pages and to her orbituary. I could have [1:54] just blocked her and called it a day, [1:55] but I could feel a presence in the room [1:58] telling me to have patience and assist. [2:01] So, we continued our conversation, [2:04] having a conversation with a ghost. This [2:07] was as surreal as it could get. I [2:08] honestly didn't know what emotion to [2:11] settle upon, but I I felt empathy was [2:13] the number one thing to feel in this [2:15] situation. [2:17] She told me that she wanted me to find [2:19] her daughter Clara and help her. She [2:22] said to wait a few minutes so she could [2:24] find out where she was. And when she got [2:26] back, she sent a text telling me to go [2:28] to the store a few blocks away. I got in [2:31] my car and headed there. When I arrived, [2:33] Charlotte text me a picture of her [2:35] daughter. When I went in, I found her in [2:39] the liquor section looking like a mess. [2:42] I wasn't sure how to start the [2:43] conversation. I didn't know how to do it [2:45] right. Then I then I got an idea. I [2:48] walked over and started to talk about [2:50] brands as if I were an expert. [2:54] The conversation went from drinks to [2:56] family and she told me what happened to [2:58] her mom. And I went along as if I hadn't [3:01] known about it. I gave my advice to her. [3:04] I said, "Try not to put salt on the [3:07] wound." And she put the bottle back. She [3:10] thanked me and headed to a different [3:12] section of the store. And I stuck around [3:14] to see her check out and leave. As soon [3:16] as she drove off, Charlotte sent me a [3:18] new text writing, "Thank you." [3:21] >> What a tale. You're a great person, [3:24] Rebecca. Thanks for sharing with us.
