what we are doing here is we are simply incorporating um constitutional officers and the Minnesota judicial branch into the charter because the statute was u very focused on legislators and so we want to make uh broaden this a little bit uh for the purpose of the task force.

Updates to the Task Force Charter

The only thing that I would suggest adding in there is when we were putting this um, task force together, we talked about how we can use um, resources in collaboration with one another. So, I would make note of that like identify I don't know what the words are, but just that we're looking at how are we crossing over um, resources within the whole system.

— Representative Green [4:38]
Updates to the Task Force Charter

the planning team had discussed this and decided that working groups were um we were going to create working groups to help make sure that the task force completes its duties on time.

Formation and Assignment of Working Groups

The intent here is not to overburden anyone with work. We really want I think to come up with at the end of this two three tops recommendations for each um particular category that would then be incorporated into uh a final recommendation um to keep this work at least a little bit modest at this point.

Formation and Assignment of Working Groups

I would just like to bring up to for the IT. I know typically when you say it, it scares a few people away, but some of this is about a shared platform when we're talking all of these different units and protections and how all of that information can be shared on a shared technology platform. And so don't let it scare you. Uh that is one resource that we've seen very quickly that is not there uh to information share. without.

Formation and Assignment of Working Groups

at this point the task force will now transition to a closed session for task force members under Minnesota statute 13D.05 subdivision 3D. Per state statute, the closed session will discuss sensitive security details related to security for house senate legislative proceedings and events, individual members, constitutional officers and judges. And we will also be discussing security orientation and training for new members.
