2025 Annual Liquor Operations Report Presentation
The Liquor Operations Director, Tana Wald, provided an overview of the 2025 performance. She reported a $43,000 increase in gross profit despite sales being slightly below budget. Highlights included $1.74 million contributed to city funds (equipment replacement, police station debt), nearly 10% growth in Emporium Room rentals and e-commerce sales, and over $25,000 in sales from the newly launched Door Dash service. Over $100,000 was raised for community services. The department was recognized as a top 100 retailer and for achieving excellent inventory management. Council member Joshua Lee inquired about the coexistence of in-house and Door Dash delivery and the strategies employed to increase gross profit, such as strategic buying and strict inventory control.

Mr. Miller presented highlights from the consent agenda, including Item 6H, an agreement with Pyro for the July 4th fireworks display, noting an $8,000 contribution from the Lions. The plus side is that we increased our gross profit, which means that we made over $43,000 more in 2025 than we did in 2024, even with the reduction in sales.
From October 29th to December 31st, we had orders totaling over $25,000. And in December alone, we had $17,000 in sales. So that was a nice surprise for us.

And then item 6P is an approval of a pay equity filing. This is a report that the city has to provide to the state every three years. And uh we passed once again.
