I'm the new forestry technician for the city of Lakeville. I've been working in the cities and the metro area for about 2 years now working in Municipal forestry helping out with forestry departments and their tree disease and insect issues.

I am available to consult about private trees specifically concerning diseases and insects such as Emerald ashore Dutch elm disease and Oak quilt management. These are diseases that affect our Urban forest and all of our trees individually.

What we're dealing with the most right now is Emerald ashore. I've been scouting the city for ash trees that are affected and working to manage it in the City so that we can keep the effects of the insect under control.

We work to replace a lot of the ash trees that we currently have planted as we move in more diverse species with a bunch of different kinds of trees that will be more resistant to insect and pest problems in the future.
