[0:07] hi I'm fire chief Mike Meyer and I just [0:09] want to announce the exciting news that [0:11] we were awarded a safer Grant through uh [0:13] Department of Homeland Security or FEMA [0:15] uh which is going to fund 15 full-time [0:17] firefighters over the next 3 years uh [0:20] total value of the grant is roughly $5.5 [0:23] million uh and that Grant only pays for [0:25] their salary and benefits and that's all [0:27] the grant that it can be used for um so [0:30] we're very excited for this this is [0:31] going to expand our capabilities uh as a [0:34] Department responding to emergencies uh [0:36] doing inspections providing service to [0:38] our community uh with the award of the [0:40] safer Grant obviously we're going to be [0:41] hiring those firefighters so that [0:43] application process will be opening in [0:45] the very near future uh for more [0:47] information on the job description and [0:49] qualifications uh go to Lakeville mn.gov
