Art center promotes holiday sale featuring local student work
The Lakeville Area Art Center is hosting its annual holiday art sale, offering community members a chance to purchase handmade gifts created by local students and instructors while supporting artists in the area.
Scarlett Larson, Program Coordinator at the Lakeville Area Art Center, presented details about the upcoming holiday art sale during the city council meeting on October 22. The event is designed to give residents an alternative to mass-produced gifts by showcasing unique, handmade items created by people in the community.
The sale will feature work from both students and instructors at the art center. By shopping at the event, community members directly support local artists during the busy holiday shopping season. Larson provided specific information about when the sale will take place and its operating hours, though those details were not included in the meeting summary.
Beyond the holiday sale, Larson also invited community members to explore the art center's winter class offerings and other upcoming events. The Lakeville Area Art Center serves as a hub for arts education and community engagement in the city.
