[0:08] rabbit hole is a play about grief it is
[0:12] following this family including Becca
[0:15] and her husband Howie as they grieve the
[0:18] loss of their four-year-old son so Dany
[0:20] is the young son who accidentally was
[0:23] hit by a car 8 months previous they
[0:26] navigate the relation their relationship
[0:28] and the relationship with their family
[0:30] members and the aftermath of picking the
[0:34] picking up the pieces of their life
[0:36] trying to find a way forward through
[0:40] this absolutely horrible staggering loss
[0:44] in their lives and trying to figure out
[0:46] where this family stands as they
[0:49] encounter New Joys and new struggles and
[0:53] challenges Becca is a very loving caring
[0:57] mother supportive wife and loved being a
[1:00] mom loved her husband loved her life
[1:03] until the tragic event we're not going
[1:05] to wake up one day just be back where we
[1:06] used to be I know that so we have to
[1:09] head in that direction Becca's emotional
[1:11] journey through this play is really
[1:14] challenging because for a lot of it she
[1:17] is feeling completely overwhelmed as
[1:21] though she will never escape this pit of
[1:23] grief she now is just a shell of herself
[1:26] how do I navigate a relationship with
[1:30] this husband of mine and this family
[1:32] members that all seem to be doing okay
[1:35] for the most part and I'm stuck Izzy is
[1:40] the sister of Becca she's very Carefree
[1:43] kind of does her own leads her own path
[1:46] she definitely is the wild one the one
[1:49] who loves to party loves to have random
[1:53] jobs she gets fired often just because
[1:55] she has such a bad mouth and she kind of
[1:57] is a free spirit you hit her yeah right
[1:59] in the face boom she went down she finds
[2:02] out that she's pregnant and is having to
[2:05] face her own bit of crisis of well how
[2:07] do I reconcile the way that I've been
[2:10] living with being a mother it's
[2:13] definitely hard for her to tell Becca
[2:15] because of Dany and what happened to him
[2:18] Becca wants to be happy for her sister
[2:20] she also feels very conflicted because
[2:23] she feels that Izzy didn't earn it there
[2:27] actually is quite quite a few moment
[2:30] of of humor and you see like even
[2:34] between Becka and hoe some of their
[2:36] jokey nature to each other um their
[2:38] tender moments with each other they're
[2:40] not constantly fighting they do love
[2:42] each other and you see that even with
[2:44] Izzy Izzy's kind of the levity of the
[2:46] whole show she's got some of the most
[2:48] funny lines I think a lot of it has to
[2:51] do with how Izzy copes with
[2:53] uncomfortable situations if she senses
[2:56] tension in the room she has to
[2:57] immediately relieve it by saying
[2:58] something stupid I think I really hope
[3:00] that audiences come to see a very
[3:03] beautifully written show with amazing
[3:06] actors the people I've cast are bringing
[3:08] these characters to life I hope that
[3:10] they get a chance to examine grief in a
[3:12] real in a real way without having to
[3:14] necessarily have it pressed on them
[3:16] within their family even in the darkest
[3:20] times when you feel like the grief or
[3:23] the pressure or the weight of the world
[3:25] is just too much to bear there is hope
[3:29] please come out and see expression
[3:31] theater's production of rabbit hole we
[3:34] open April 4th through the 13th we would
[3:36] love to see you there and you know what
[3:38] they don't tell you it hurts to punch
[3:41] someone it freaking hurts well yeah they
[3:44] don't tell you that on TV
