Art Center Announces Summer Programming for Youth, Adults
The Lakeville Area Art Center outlined its summer programming lineup during a recent city council update, featuring expanded offerings for both youth and adult participants.
Nikki Prtzer, representing the art center, announced week-long camps for students aged 6 to 17, with half-day sessions covering activities from jewelry making to improv and musical theater to aerodynamics. The camps run Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. when paired with gap care services.
Adult programming includes outdoor classes for participants 21 and older, featuring a cash bar component. These classes will continue through October 3, according to the presentation.
The center also highlighted its "Live at the Lake" outdoor entertainment series, taking place every Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. through August at Casperson Park. The free, family-friendly series features two bands each week along with food and dessert trucks.
