Art Center Announces Summer Programming for 2025
The Lakeville Area Art Center will offer expanded summer programming from June 16 through August 28, according to program coordinator Scarlett Larson.
The art center will provide week-long camps for children featuring various artistic mediums including pottery, jewelry making and STEM-based art projects. Theater and performing arts camps will also be available with half-day and full-day options. A new gap care program will include early drop-off and supervised lunch services for working parents.
Adult classes will begin a new session in June, offering watercolor painting, glass fusing and scori weaving. The center will host outdoor pottery firing classes where participants can glaze pottery, fire it in a specialty kiln outdoors and enjoy refreshments by a campfire.
Two art exhibitions are currently on display through July 9. Justin Grady's "National Parks of the American West" showcases landscape scenes, while local painter Katrina Pete's floral paintings will be displayed through June.
