Lakeville Reports Progress on Multiple Development Projects
The City of Lakeville is experiencing significant commercial and industrial development activity across multiple sectors, according to an update from Economic Development Manager Katie Bachmier.
In the industrial sector, construction continues on the RL Cold project at 21700 Galway Lane near Sweet Harvest Foods. The 276,000-square-foot facility will serve as a cold storage operation when completed. Additionally, site preparation has begun for the Lakeville 35 Logistics Center, which will feature a 189,678-square-foot industrial office and warehouse building located north of Juniper Way and south of 210th Street West.
Commercial development includes the ongoing construction of Kenwood Commons at 905 723rd Street West near Heritage Commons. The 8,337-square-foot building will house Downtown Bicycle's second location and Jill Henning State Farm Insurance, with one additional tenant space available for lease.
In the healthcare sector, Children's Dental Care is expanding its existing location at 1767 Cedar Avenue with 2,571 square feet of additional office space, with construction expected to complete by summer. The city also recently welcomed the completion of a new 14,000-square-foot Midwest Ear Nose and Throat Specialist facility at 11020 161st Street West near Bolero.
The hospitality sector gained a new establishment with the opening of The Farmer Seller, a speakeasy located at 8333 210th Street West near downtown Lakeville.
