[Music] hey everyone it's Logan here with the Lowdown from this week's city council meeting we had a very small city council meeting this week so instead I'm going to talk about our Port Authority meeting as folks are aware the Port Authority is the city's Economic Development agency that meets at 6: p.m on the third Tuesdays of the month right before the city council meeting at this week's Port Authority we had two really exciting projects released first Willie McCoy plans to open a restaurant here in Rosemount under their copper pint Flagship brand they plan to open a 7500 ft location directly across from the lifetime location just near the lifetime pickle ball courts on the southern portion of the southeast corner of akan Avenue and conom Trail this 7500t restaurant would also include a rooftop patio and mezzanine structure which is a really exciting addition that the city's financing is allowed to have happened locations currently exist in Shaka and Bloomington with the copper pint Flagship and we've heard from folks that have visited those locations that both are very popular so we're really excited to see the copper pint applied for here in the next month or two this project would need to be substantially completed by December of 2025 in order to receive financial support from the city the Port Authority also approved a financial subsidy contract with Omni Winery and Tap House on biscane Avenue to expand their location further north from their current spot as folks might be aware there is a residential property that was for sale directly north of the current Omni Winery the Omni folks have acquired that that property and would would plan an expansion up into that property to provide for an event space that would support events outdoor weddings and things of the nature as I mentioned both projects are receiving a financial subsidy from the city of Rosemount These funds come from the city's pooled tax increment Finance dollars which is extra revenues from other projects that have happened throughout Rosemount providing construction jobs and further reinvestment in the community and as I mentioned really exciting to see the city's vision for retail and service expansion come to fruition for the city of Rosemount and we hope you're excited to see that too so that's the big action from this week's Port Authority meeting as always check out the city council meeting online and thanks for checking in we'll see you next time
