[Music] hey everyone it's Logan here with the Lowdown from this week's city council meeting one key item to talk about today last night the council adopted its 2024 to 2029 strategic plan the strategic planning process is really one of the most critical things that a city council does this serves as our guide book and our Playbook as we funnel through decision-making and long-term vision for the city the city council and staff asked themselves the question what would Rose Mount look like in 2029 as we looked through that lens and processed the feedback of what those headlines could be the city council and staff landed on four key pillars of the 2024 to 2029 strategic plan to grow and enhance Ros Mount to create Community connections to preserve our hometown feel and to support a culture of high performance looking deeply at the grow and- enhanced Rosemount bucket this covers the growth that we expect to see and how we can be purposeful about that growth as we look forward to 20 24 to 2029 as we grow it'll be critical to remain and retain Community connections throughout the community so this talks about having well-connected sidewalks and trails how Rosemont could become a destination for recreation and Athletics and how our city government is a trusted source of local news and community outreach as we grow and as we expand the city council and staff to talk deeply about how we can preserve our hometown feel which is such a critical component of what makes the city of Rosemount so fantastic and lastly to get this all done to deliver on the expectations that our residents and our city council has given us we need to continue to support the culture of hyperformance that has existed here at the city of Rosemount this is ensuring that the city of Rosemount remains an employer of choice this also asks that the city of rosemount's government welcomes creativity and drives efficiency that provides additional value to all of its residents so as I said this is one of the most exciting things that we get to do as we craft our next 5-year Vision here for the city of Rosemount so we would encourage you to give it look online please reach out with any feedback that you have on our strategic plan and also as always check us out on all of our social media Pages we'll see you next time
