[Music] hey everyone it's Logan here with the Lowdown from this week's City Council meetings two exciting projects to talk about today and we'll dive right into it first the city council granted final approvals last night to the second branch of the First State Bank of Rosemount First State Bank of Rosemount is adding a second Branch here in town this facility will be located at the corner of abbeyfield and ho 42 just south of the Roars apartment complex that you can see being constructed on the northwest corner of Highway 42 and akan Avenue so this Bank facility will be about 6,000 square feet and the really exciting component is that it will include a coffee shop with a Coffee Shop drive-thru as a component of the bank they look to break ground here this summer with an opening next summer and this is a really exciting development for the First State Bank of Rosemont which has been in town operating for 115 years the next item I want to discuss is the city council's approval of at this week's city council meeting of a new administrative citation program while this might not sound as glamorous as some of the other development projects that we talk about this is a really critical tool in the toolbox as we operate the city what this will do is allow us to ensure that code enforcement is performed in an efficient and effective manner here in the city of Rosemount currently we rely on a complaint based code enforcement program meaning we ask neighbors to let us know when they see a complaint or concern in their neighborhood we also utilize a sequential code enforcement program nine times out of 10 a resident will receive a letter from the city they'll realize that their garbage can may be placed in the wrong spot or their grass might be a little bit too long they'll remedy it and they will move on one time out of 10 or maybe less than one time out of 10 a resident maybe chooses not to comply as quickly as we'd like them to and we need to get their attention a bit more by bringing fees and fines into the mix and so this administrative citation program will allow us to do that so again looking to just ensure that rosem continues to be a beautiful place to live and an enjoyment for all residents and neighbors if you have any questions about this process or any of the developments that you see as we talk about on these videos as always call us here at City Hall we'd love to chat more about this there'll be an article about this in the upcoming newsletter that'll help mailboxes here in the next few weeks and follow us on social media as always for this and many other updates have a great week
