[Music] Hi everyone and welcome to this week's episode of Logan's Lowdown. I'm Lee from communications stepping in to give you a quick recap of what happened at the April 15th city council meeting. First up, the council gave the green light for Rose Mount's newest dog park located near the Amber Fields development. The space will feature separate areas for large and small dogs, a shelter, water fountain, picnic tables, and some fun play features built by a local Eagle Scout. Frig's Contracting was awarded the project, and we estimate that this new amenity will open sometime next year. Next, the council approved the 2025 street improvement project, which will kick off later this spring. The project includes major street repairs, spot utility replacements, and sidewalk upgrades to meet accessibility standards. Streets included are mainly located in central Rosemount near the library and Rosemount Middle School. Next, council approved a change to the Parks and Recreation Commission bylaws, officially combining it with the Environmental and Sustainability Commission. The new group is now called the Parks and Natural Resources Commission, which will help streamline efforts and enhance collaboration across these important focus areas. We thank all commission members for their willingness to join forces. And finally, Mayor Weisenell officially proclaimed adopt a drain challenge days in Rosemount. We join a nationwide challenge to adopt the most storm drains by April 30th. Each drain you adopt helps keep our waterways clean. Together, we can make a difference. Find a storm drain near you by visiting adopt a drain.org. That's it for this episode of Logan's Lowdown. You can catch up with the full meeting on our YouTube channel and sign up for meeting notices on our website. Thanks for tuning in. We'll see you next time.
