[Music] hey everyone it's Logan here with the Lowdown from this week's city council meeting we had a good meeting this week and I'll give you a quick update here first the city council declared October as manufacturing month in the state of Minnesota a nice opportunity for us as a city and other cities in the state of Minnesota to acknowledge the important the important role that manufacturing plays in the work that we do as cities and speaking of that the city council also approved a resolution of support supporting an application to the Department of Employment and economic development for a project known as project Falcon to pursue an environmental investigation Grant this would give project Falcon opportunity to investigate a parcel that they're considering building upon in Rosemount just south of the meta facility near Blaine Avenue project Falcon is an aerospace research and development facility that focuses on Aerospace preparations for the future project Falcon is a strong partner of the University of Minnesota and has been working with them for many years as I said this potential project is south of the meta facility no official project has been applied for as of yet but we do want residents to be aware that they are considering Rosemount and to give you a glimpse into what the project could be if they were to choose Rosemount next the city council gave final approval to a couple of developments on the Rosewood Commons development or the area near the Anytime Fitness and the new New Horizons building this includes a couple of buildings one is a multi-tenant retail space that the developer indicated he's got a taco entrepreneur and a pizza entrepreneur there's also a building that is a standalone restaurant as a potential opportunity that the developer is pursuing and then just near them is the my credit union that was recently approved by the city council so we're starting to see that area around the Business Parkway biscan 42 Corridor pursuing further development and it's nice to see it come into production so that's it from this week's city council meeting as always check out the full video online and we'll see you next time
