[0:03] Parent Square. This video will explain
[0:05] how to send messages to teachers and
[0:07] staff. How to send messages to teachers
[0:09] and staff. You will need to have an
[0:12] active parent square account and have
[0:13] the Parents Square app to continue. You
[0:16] can download the Parents Square app by
[0:17] scanning the QR code. From the Parents
[0:19] Square app, tap messages on the bottom
[0:21] of the home screen. You can also tap the
[0:23] plus sign in the top right or bottom
[0:25] right of your screen. Select message.
[0:28] Select a recipient from the quick select
[0:30] list or select search everyone to search
[0:32] and select by recipient name. Be sure to
[0:35] tap search after typing at least three
[0:37] characters in the search bar. Select
[0:39] conversation type when sending to two or
[0:42] more recipients. Private message means
[0:44] participants will only see messages from
[0:46] you. Group message means everyone can
[0:48] see and reply to the message. This
[0:51] creates a group conversation. Parents
[0:53] can only create group messages with
[0:54] school staff and cannot add other
[0:56] parents or family members to that group.
[0:59] If you would like to have a group
[1:00] message with other parents and school
[1:02] staff, the school staff must create the
[1:04] group message. Write your message and
[1:06] send. You have the option to select the
[1:08] paperclip icon at the bottom of the
[1:10] screen to add photos and other files. If
[1:12] a staff member is not showing up when
[1:14] you search for them, they must reach out
[1:16] to you first. You can reach out to a
[1:18] teacher from your quick select list and
[1:20] ask them to connect a staff member with
[1:22] you to begin communication.
