Notable Quotes (3)
The city is really here to serve us, and so the city can't do its work, can't meet its mission, can't solve for some of the issues if they don't hear from the people who live here and the people who work here.
I do think that there are some old procedures and policies, or maybe even rules in place in Bloomington that really need to be revamped. And I think being on this committee, I can hopefully help influence that so that the next businesses that come to Bloomington find it just a little bit easier to navigate.
It's probably no surprise that we will continue to focus on small business, that's been a big priority for the city. We're also hoping to really celebrate some of our high tech manufacturing here in Bloomington, including the semiconductor industry. We will, of course, continue to support our hospitality industry as well. We'll be looking at developing more intentional relationships with workforce development partners to make sure we have the employees who are ready and trained to fill the jobs of the future here in Bloomington.
