"e e [Music] good evening everyone and welcome I will call this Bloomington city council meeting to order tonight is Monday February 24th 2025 thank you for everyone joining us this evening we will start our meeting as we always do if you are able please stand and join me in the Pledge of Allegiance I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liy and justice for all once again thanks to everybody here in the chambers and thanks to everybody watching online and on cable access tonight appreciate your joining us tonight uh also want to welcome back council member Ras who back with us after an extended time off for some health issues but we're very glad to have you back thanks for thanks for coming back we're very glad to see you Victor thanks for being here good Council our first order of business tonight will be to uh uh approve tonight's agenda and the agenda uh we have three introductory items under item 2.2 we have the introduction of new employees we'll be hearing from a couple of different folks uh welcoming them to our city staff we're going to hear two work plans and annual reports uh item 2.2 is uh the work plan and annual report for the Bloomington Human Rights Commission and 2.3 is the 2025 Parks arts and Recreation Commission work plan under item three our consent business council member lman has our consent agenda tonight 12 items on the consent business under item four our hearings resolutions and ordinances we actually have three public hearings this evening item 4.1 will be a public hearing regarding the heights tax increment financing District item 4.2 a public hearing on a city code Amendment for rs1 and r1a District ordinance and item 4.3 is a public hearing regarding the vacation of public drainage and utility easements uh related to the Hyundai Edition and uh item five our organizational business item 5.1 we'll get an update on the Community Health and Wellness Center from our Park and Recreation director an catry and I think a cast The Thousands will be chipping in on that as well so looking forward to hearing that and we will wrap up our meeting as we always do item 5.2 will be our city council policy and issue update Council any corrections additions or anything to comment on with the tonight's agenda as presented hearing none I would move approval of the agenda as presented motion and a second by council member dandro to accept tonight's agenda as presented no further Council discussion on this all those in favor please signify by saying I I opposed motion carries 70 with the agenda in hand we will move through it now item two our introductory items item 2.1 is the introduction of new employees we've got a couple of folks coming up uh why don't we start with our Parks folks Alison War if you could come forward and introduce our newest employee in Parks good even evening and welcome good evening mayor and council members thank y…
