". >> Good Evening Everyone And Welcome. I Will Call This Bloomington City Council Meeting To Order Tonight Is Monday, May 5Th, 2025. Thank You To Everyone Joining Us In The Council Chambers. Thanks To Everybody Watching Online. We Have A Special Treat Again Here This Evening. The Bloomington Color Guard Is Going To Post The Colors For Us And I'M Going To Turn It Over To Deputy Chief Damon Whitney To Lead Us In That. For Those That Are Able Please Stand. Officer With Just On Three Oh Officers Present Are Allegiance To The Flag Of The United States Of America And To The Republic For Which It Stands One Nation Under God Indivisible With Liberty And Justice For All. Officer Or Are They ? You May Be Seated . Thank You So Very Much To Our Honor Guard It'S Always So Nice To Start A Meeting With Them In At The Front Of The Meeting It Just Adds A Special Air To The Meeting And You'Ll Understand As We Get Into Our Agenda Exactly Why We Did That. We Got A Lot Of Police. Related Items This Evening So Council Our First Item Of Business Tonight Is To Approve Our Agenda And It'S A It'S A A Busy One But Not Very Long Tonight So Hopefully So Under Our Introductory Items We'Ve Got Five Different Things Under Our Introductory Items We'Re Going To Start With The Proclamation For Small Business Week. Then We Are Going To Go To Item 2.2 Which Is The Introductions Of Bloomington Police Employees And The Swearing In Of New Officers. I'Ll Read Two More Proclamations Then A Proclamation For National Police Week And Peace Officers Memorial Day And A Proclamation For Respect For Law Week. Then Item 2.5 Will Go To The Introduction Of Other New Employees Throughout The City Under A Consent Business And I Believe. Who Has Concern Councilmember Nelson Is Consent. We'Ve Got Three Items Under Consent Tonight No Hearings Or Resolutions Or Ordinances But We Do Have Three Items Under Our Organizational Business Study Item Regarding Office Conversions That'S Item 5.1. Item 5.2 Is To Acknowledge Receipt Of Resolutions From The Charter Commission And To Set Our Public Hearings For That. And We'Ll Wrap Up Our Meeting As We Always Do Ahead In 5.3 Our City Council Policy And Issue Update Council Any Questions Comments, Additions Or Corrections To What I Just Read? If Not I Would Move Approval Of Tonight'S Agenda As Stated. Second We Got A Motion In The Second By Council Member Carter To Accept Tonight'S Agenda As Stated No Further Council Discussion On This. All Those In Favor Please Signify By Saying I Opposed Motion Carries Seven Zero Our First Item Of Business Is A Proclamation For Small Business Week And I'M Going To Head Down To The Podium .
